as i was walking home...
in the slightly heavy rain..

i thought of the times i had in band.
yupp.
the past four plus years in band.

from the dunno anything,
no one teach,
abandoned
no sound oboe in sec one.

to the a bit better,
super duper soft,
super lousy techniques,
but in tune sec two.

to the left alone times in sec three...
where i had to teach steph while
the two seniors studied...

to the 'soloist' in sec four.
seniors graduate.
im left alone.
steph and me got closer.
syf.
solo.
yanli.
shan shan.

and now im in sec five.
amazing huh.
we're more bonded.
yanli, shanshan, steph, eunice and me.
new additions alson and nadra.
alson is too quiet.

and now...
its time for me to leave.
just like the seniors have done.
its time for me to give the oboe to the juniors.
and to hit the books.

top student?
NAH.
totally IMPOSSIBLE.

special thanks to those that have
helped me in one way or other...

and extra special thanks to yanling and eunice.
and my superduper cute and special section.

yanling for pei-ing me all the way.
and eunice...
for just being my mummy.
though you always abandon me...

yanli...
for being yanli lah.
just keep the oboe clean okays?
and jia you jia you!
practice lah!

and steph...
for being our one and only sl squared.
haha.
and the only junior to tong gan gong ku
with me in 2005.
yah.

and shanshan...
for being shanshan lor.
haha.
and dont you dare transfer to other sections hor!

all these..
i'll really miss.

the times shared.

laughter.

tears.

frustations.

problems.

everything.

and after hearing what mrs lim said today...
i guess i should wake up already.

turning over my cards..
i realise im not prepared for any subject.
this is serious lor.
am i going to get 30+
or 20+ for o levels?

i dont want.

its time to pull up our socks.
(literally)
and buck up.

i've got the sudden urge...
to play emperata.
again.
if only we get the chance
to play emperata
as the syf band 2005.

suddenly i miss that song a lot.

but im still glad that we've stepped down.
cos its time to hit the books.
