TO CARRY ON

"While we are lost during our journey,
let's continue looking up to the sky.
Doubting ourselves, holding only to our weaknesses,
we keep on walking.

We are floating, struggling to go somewhere.
But let's continue to look up at our dreams.
With just strong belief in ourselves,
we will open the door of the future."

final term exams in three weeks time, and i need to study. though the stuffs are relatively simple, there's a lot of memory work involved, and my memory is not my best asset :/
something has been spinning in my mind lately. i just found out, when i saw Kevin's certificate from FCBS, that achieving 70% and above for all modules would get you a distinction certificate.
and you know what ?
out of my 12 modules, i have two modules below 70%. and that means, i don't get a distinction, but a pass.

and then i thought about it - why am i so concerned over whether my certificate is a distinction or not ? why is there a need to work hard for better results ? is it for face, so that i can compare with my cousins in NUS ?
i don't think so. from the start, i was already out of the league when i did badly for my A's and failed to secure a place in NTU/NUS like them. they obviously have the better brains, so why fight ?
i think ultimately, what i want is to prove to myself that i am not as dumb as everyone perceives me to be. that I, even when rejected by the local universities - I, who is not good enough in their eyes and not worthy of a space, can do just as well and go just as far as the scholarship holders.
i can, and i will.

"Without losing sight of your tomorrow,
follow the endless dream.
The rain will stop when the morning come.
Our future will shine once again.

There are no dreams that won't come true.
Let's continue to believe that.
Let's feel the unseen path.
To carry on, just one step at a time.
To carry on, the future is waiting for us."
