"Emmaline, come. I need to talk to you."

Well, naturally i panicked. You would if your boss came all the way up, opened the door to the clinic and said that to you.

A patient today reminded me so so much of my grandmother. Its so sad.

I sure she was feeling lost, because as she came out of the consultation room she didnt know where to go to deposit her prescription, or what to do next. She laments about herself being slow when she was keeping her change at the cashier; i hope i managed to reassure her that there is no need to hurry. In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, are we all going to end up like that in the future when our bodies fail physically and we cannot move as quickly as before ?

My heart clenches a little every time i think of the first thing she said to me, and i feel so useless and powerless.
